This place will serve as a home for the things I decide to make, whatever they may be. Granted we’re just talking short flash loops at this point, nothing fancy, and I’m not promising it’ll get any fancier than that.

On the subject of loops, even though they’re not that big a deal, there’s a unique quality to them that has always tickled my brain. They’re an attention grabbing moment trapped in infinity. For me they sometimes sit above pictures or paintings since they’re like a living version of those things. Doesn’t that just make them videos or animations? They technically are that but compared to other media there’s just something different about looking at a powerful clip that continuously and seamlessly evokes a specific feeling and having your mind be completely enveloped by it until you decide to stop. Like driving on a straight, long and empty road, sunset in front of you, taking it all in. But I feel I’m getting too close to the artsy fartsy sun and in that I have no interest. And, if my memory serves, neither does the history of flash loops. If anything they have been irreverent (putting it lightly) from the very beginning. A trait which I’ve come to appreciate more and more with time (strictly referring to irreverence here) and might show up in my stuff. Anyway, that’s all I have to say right now.
